Havre’s university has reset a forum to Friday to discuss the results of intensive program review.
Montana State University-Northern spokesman Jim Potter said the open forum on program review will begin at 10 a.m. in the Hensler Auditorium in the university’s Applied Technology Center.
The forum is intended to present to the public, and take questions about, the results of more than half-a-year of looking at programs.
Chancellor Jim Limbaugh initiated the process shortly after he took the helm at the university in January 2012.
Starting last year, the faculty and staff of programs at Northern conducted a self-study of the programs, and presented their findings and recommendations. The Academic Senate, Academic Council and the deans and chairs of the colleges and programs reviewed the self-studies and compiled their own recommendations on what programs should be maintained, what the university should try to grow, what new programs should be created and what programs should be placed in a moratorium or eliminated.
The forum was scheduled for Tuesday, but the date was reset due to Limbaugh becoming ill Monday night.
