Just two days after wrapping up a successful Havre Jamboree, the Havre North Stars American Legion baseball club is back at it.
Tonight, the North Stars host the Great Falls Hawks in a twin bill, starting at 5:30 at Legion Field. The games were originally slated for Wednesday night, but moved to tonight instead.
The Hawks are a Senior Babe Ruth team, one of three in the Great Falls area. Teams like the Hawks, and the Great Falls Volts, don’t play regular city league Babe Ruth baseball, but rather spend the summer traveling the state, playing teams from other cities in Montana, much more like an American Legion schedule.
Tonight’s doubleheader is part of yet another busy week for the North Stars. Havre also hosts the Fort MacLeod Royals for two Northern A games on Sunday night. The North Stars also host the Hawks again on June 18.
