More rain headed our way Sunday night, Monday

The National Weather Service is predicting heavy rain for the area in the next couple of days. According to the weather service's most recent prediction, we coupled get pup to 2 more inches of rain.

Some areas, especially Beaver Creek Park, have already have been flooded.

Here is the weather services predictions:

This afternoon: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Southeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain. Low around 47. East southeast wind around 9 mph becoming north northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Monday: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 56. North northeast wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Monday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. North northeast wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
