After a caller reported people fighting in 2nd Street Thursday at 11:39 a.m., officers arrested a 21-year-old Spokane, Wash., man for assault and criminal mischief, vandalism.

Officers investigated a cellphone theft reported Thursday at 12:23 p.m. at a 1st Street establishment.

Officers investigated a motor vehicle crash reported on 1st Street at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated vandalism at a business south of Hingham reported at 12:13 p.m. Thursday.

Deputies responded at 12:44 Thursday to a request for assistance at North Star School in Rudyard.

Deputies investigating suspicious activity on the north side of Beaver Creek Park's lower lake arrested a 30-year-old Havre woman for criminal contempt.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five medical calls yesterday and made one transfer. Fire crews were called to the 400 Block of 4th Street for a possible downed power line that turned out to be cable TV lines, and the service provider was notified.
