Havre Police Department

During a motor vehicle stop on 9th Street at 7:56 a.m. Friday, an officer issued a summons to a 49-year-old Havre woman on charges of violation of child restraint, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and driving without liability insurance, first offense.

Friday at 8:23 a.m. a 10th Avenue caller reported finding a gun under is vehicle.

During a motor vehicle stop on 11th Street Friday at 10:25 a.m., an officer arrested a 35-year-od Havre man for driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and violation of conditions of release.

Officers investigated a report made Friday at 1:06 p.m. that the 15th Street caller's vehicle was vandalized.

Officers investigated a report made by a man at the police station at 6:53 p.m. Friday that he was beaten up.

A caller at 6th Street and 2nd Avenue reported at 10:22 p.m. Friday that she was following a drunken driver, and responding officers arrested a 57-year-old Havre man for driving under the influence.

An officer investigating suspicious activity Friday at 11:04 p.m. at a 1st Street West establishment arrested a 21-year-old Box Elder man for violation of conditions of release.

Saturday at 9:03 a.m. officers investigated a report of a theft of a bike and minnow traps from a 17th Street residence.

Officers were called to a 1st Street business Saturday at 10:39 a.m. after a man reported being assaulted. A 47-year-old Box Elder man was arrested for assault.

Officers investigated a one-vehicle crash on the Montana State University-Northern campus Saturday at 10:49 a.m.

After receiving a complaint Saturday at 11:56 a.m. of a man being in the caller's vehicle on 2nd Street, officers arrested an 18-year-old Harlem man for criminal trespass to vehicles and minor in possession.

A caller on Montana Highway 234 called Saturday at 3:04 p.m. to report a dog had attacked his dog, causing an injury, and officers investigated the incident.

An officer investigating suspicious activity on 3rd Street Saturday at 4:19 p.m. arrested a 21-year-old Havre man for violation of conditions of release and violation of a no contact order.

A caller at a 1st Street business reported a shoplifter at 5:24 p.m. Saturday and responding officers arrested a 60-year-old Havre man for theft by shoplifting and criminal trespass to property.

After a disturbance was reported at 11:49 p.m. Saturday on 15th Place West, officers arrested two 36-year-old Havre men, each on a charge of criminal contempt.

Sunday at 10:36 a.m. officers investigated a hit-and-run crash on 9th Street and issued a summons to a 26-year-old Box elder woman for DUI, refused to test, driving without a driver's license, failure to stop and identify self at a crash scene, failure to give notice of accident and criminal contempt.

An officer investigated contraband found at Northern Montana Hospital Sunday at 11:50 a.m.

A caller at a 1st Street business reported stolen water jugs being returned for deposit, and responding officers arrested a 49-year-old have man and a 44-year-old Havre woman, but no charges were provided.

Officers investigated a report made Sunday at 5:06 p.m. of a vehicle hitting a building on 1st Street.

After a caller at a 1st Street West business reported a complaint at 4:02 a.m. today, responding officers issued a summons to a 21-year-old Havre man for criminal contempt.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies served a state District Court warrant Friday at 5:11 p.m. to a Hill County Detention Center inmate, a 35-year-old Havre man.

Deputies investigated a 911 hang-up call made by a Box Elder woman Friday at 7:39 p.m.

Saturday at 6:03 p.m. deputies were asked by a 22nd Ave. West caller to assist with a family issue. Officers investigated.

Deputies investigated a report made Saturday at 9:23 p.m. that a U.S. Highway 2 East residence had been broken into.

———

After a 9th Avenue Northwest caller reported Saturday at 11:58 p.m. to the police station that four juveniles had beat up a fifth juvenile, deputies were called to assist Sunday at 12:05 a.m. and issued three summonses, but no further details were provided.

Deputies investigated a report of vandalism Sunday at 8:52 p.m. at Pat's Trailer Court.

Montana Highway Patrol

Troopers were called to a one-vehicle rollover crash 6 miles south of Havre on Montana Highway 234 at 2:37 a.m. today. Highway Patrol reports that two vehicle occupants were injured and both transported to the hospital. Alcohol is believed to be a factor, but the crash is still under investigation.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to 10 medical calls over the weekend. A fire crew was called to the 400 Block of 8th Street to investigate smoke and the sound of an alarm, and crews found a smoking pan left on a lit stove.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held a female black and tan German shepherd, a female tan and white heeler-mix and a male black and white cat.

Births

A boy was born May 10, 2013, to Phillip and Martha Kleinsasser of Havre.
