Bernard G. Robertson, Sr.

Bernard G. "Bernie" Robertson, Sr. passed away peacefully Sunday, April 28, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Born to Clara Laugen Robertson and William Arthur Robertson in Havre, Mont., on Nov. 2, 1950, he is survived by his children, Shannon (Kevin) Robertson; Gerry (Jodi) Robertson and Chad (Lisa) Robertson; and five grandchildren, Andrea, Sabrina, Alecia, Kiana, Brandon and great-granddaughter, Braelyn; one brother, Bob (Marie); three sisters, Penni (Al), Debbie (Larry) and Linda; five nieces, Jodi, Rachael, Missy, Wendy and Brianna; three nephews, Robert, Dean, and Nate. He also leaves behind two half-sisters, Carol (Jim, deceased); Deenie (Mike); and a half-brother, Bubby. Bernie also leaves behind many loving friends and neighbors and his extended family, Cheryl; Steve, Gretchen, Madison, Cedar and Morgan; Mike, Debbie, Sage, Jason and Cameron.

After graduation from high school in 1969, Bernie volunteered to join the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was especially proud of his awards and recognition for serving with Company F. 75th Airborne Rangers, Black Berets.

Bernie was an automotive mechanic, owner of Bernie's Auto Repair, in Victor, Mont., worked for Peak Oil in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, and for Vanderwal's Garage in Shelton; County Car Care in Tenino, and South Bay Automotive in Olympia.

Special thanks to Assured Hospice, especially Barbara, Chaplain Carol, Anna and Fritz and Assured Private Duty Nurse Brenda. Bernie was a kind and generous man, loved by all and will be missed by all. A Celebration of Life to honor Bernie will be held this summer.
