For some time yet, weather will play a role in golf around Montana. After all, it really is only spring and weather is volatile, especially in Havre.
Last week was a perfect example as only one night of men’s golf league was played at Prairie Farms.
The second Tuesday of a brand new men’s season was canceled, but teams got Wednesday night in. Michelob Light earned high-team honors for the night, scoring 23 points. The team is composed of Jim Kato, Tom Baker III, Bruce Normandy and Tom Adams. Kato and Matt Hedstrom shared low gross, each shooting 35, while Bill Keller was low net with a 31.
The weather forecast for this week’s league action is looking good.
Women’s league at Prairie Farms will be starting soon, and they will begin with a fun scramble on May 16, and it’s open to all women golfers. Also new this year is Women’s Fun League which will be held along with the regular Women’s League Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.
Prairie Farms has been busy with news as well. In addition to plenty of construction on the back nine being done, Ashlee Baltrusch is now the manager of the course.
