The North Star Knights girls basketball team is red-hot right now, and they are in pursuit of a District 9C regular season title. One constant for the Knights has been the play of junior Bettie Carlon. Carlon, over her last eight

games, has averaged 11 points and five rebounds for a Knights' team on quite the roll. Carlon, who also excels in volleyball and track and field, scored 14 points in North Star's 11-point win over Denton last Thursday night, and she added six points in a Saturday night win over Hays-Lodge Pole.

Teague Jones, Harlem Wrestling

Harlem junior Teague Jones is no stranger to success on the wrestling mat. But he, and the Wildcats are taking success to new heights this season. Jones captured the 125-pound title at the Malta Invitational this past Saturday, one of many individual championships he's garnered this season. He was also named Outstanding Wrestler in Malta. Already a two-time Class B-C placer, Jones is the ranked No. 1 in his weight class and will look for a Northern B-C title this Saturday in Chester.
