William H. 'Bill' Roberts

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — William H. "Bill" Roberts, 70, of Grand Forks died Tuesday in his home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., Sunday at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks. Visitation will continue from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., Monday at Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Burial will be at a later date in Langdon, N.D.

Arrangements are by Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William J. Roberts, mother, Hope Elaine (Golie) Roberts, and sister, Vera Roberts Denton of Havre, Mont. He is survived by his two children from his first marriage to Patricia (Corner) Roberts: son, William D. (Chris) Roberts and his four grandchildren of Marion, Mont., and daughter Debra A. Roberts and her fiance, Derrick Keenan, of Kiowa, Colo .; his brother, Thomas (Jan) Roberts of Havre; his sister, Phyllis (Roberts) Tovar of Kansas; and his current wife, Chris, of Grand Forks, N.D.

Bill graduated from Havre High School and moved to California where he worked various jobs until he landed the job he most enjoyed, which was being a police officer. In 1975, he and his family moved back to Havre to be by family. He acquired a job on the railroad which eventually moved him to Grand forks, N.D., where he settled for the remainder of his life.

Bill loved camping, fishing, hunting and working on old cars. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor.
