Brandy Lambourne, Havre Girls Basketball

Havre High junior Brandy Lambourne played a key role in the Blue Ponies' 2012 Central A divisional championship.

This weekend in Great Falls, she did it again. Lambourne and the Blue Ponies beat Livingston and Browning at the CMR Fieldhouse to repeat as Central A champions. Lambourne scored 15 points and racked up 10 assists in the title game win over Browning, while adding 11 Friday night against the Rangers as the Ponies advanced to the state tournament. Lambourne is also a standout tennis and volleyball player.

Trevor Lackner, Big Sandy Boys Basketball

Big Sandy senior Trevor Lackner is no stranger to high-pressure basketball. And it certainly showed at this weekend's Northern C boys tournament in Great Falls. In wins over Denton, Box Elder, Dutton-Brady and Highwood, Lackner averaged 15 points and six rebounds per game, and scored game-high's of 19 twice as the Pioneers rallied from a first-round loss to Dutton-Brady last Thursday to reach the Class C state tournament. Lackner and the Pioneer seniors will be making their third trip to state in four years.
