The Montana State University-Northern women's basketball team used a 27-point, 16-rebound performance from junior Laci Keller to blow by the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears 76-57 in the first round of the Frontier Conference semifinals Tuesday night in Havre. The win pushed Northern (17-12) into Friday night's semifinals at Carroll College.
Keller had career high's in both points and rebounds, while the Skylights also got 16 points from Jordan Bruursema and 11 from Taylor Cummings. The Skylights led 34-26 at halftime, and only trailed once in the entire game. Northern's biggest lead was 21 points in the second half.
The Skylights will play at 7 p.m. Friday night in Helena with a berth in Monday's Frontier championship game on the line. Carroll swept Northern during the regular season.
