Scouts thank community for continued support

Boy Scout Troop 1438 would like to thank everyone who has supported our troop over the past several years and especially those who have supported our troop this past year. Troop 1438 is one of the longest continuously running Boy Scout Troops in Montana as it began Oct. 1, 1947.

This past fall, Troop 1438's Eagle Scout Tyler Palmer was able to fulfill his Eagle Scout Project through the generosity of multiple businesses and many people in and around Havre. This project of renovating the exterior of the Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen was a project that involved more than 350 man hours. Again, thank you to all who helped with this project. If you missed out on this project and you want to help out on a Boy Scout Eagle project, please contact us as Cory Lloyd has started his project on re-invigorating a camping area in the Beaver Creek Park.

Two more thank-yous go to Triangle Communications for allowing us to deliver their phone books each spring and to the Knights of Columbus for allowing our troop to help out in their booth at the Great Northern Fair. We would also like to thank First Lutheran Church for its continued support as our chartered organization.

Troop 1438 is also appreciative of the various community organizations who contact us to provide flag ceremonies. If you would like our troop to perform a flag ceremony or to discuss a service project please contact us.

Additionally, if you or somebody you know is interested in joining Boy Scouts or would like more information please contact us.

Yours in Scouting,

Jennifer Thompson, 945-2623

Scoutmaster, Troop 1438

Bill Lanier, 399-4609
