Adult hockey tourney takes to the ice in Havre

The annual Hi-Line Hell Freeze Hockey Tournament will be held starting tonight at the Havre Ice Dome. The tourney is an adult tournament featuring four different local hockey teams as well as a bevy of visiting teams. The tournament gets underway tonight at 7 p.m. and will run through Sunday afternoon's championship game. Beverages are available for adults as well as concessions. Proceeds from the event go to support Havre Youth Hockey.

HHS swimmers head to Helena

The Havre High boys and girls swim teams have one final chance to jump in the pool and get ready for the Montana State Swimming Championships. And that chance comes Saturday when the Blue Ponies travel to Helena for the annual Helena Invitational.

The Ponies will be up against an all Class AA field in Helena, much like they've seen all season long. The Helena Invite will include both standout teams from Helena High, as well as Great Falls High, CMR, Bozeman and the three Missoula powers.

After this Saturday's meet, the Ponies will have a week off to prepare for the state meet which takes place Feb. 8-9 in Hardin. So these races will be the final competition for HHS this regular season.

The Helena Invite starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at Carroll College.
