These words give all of us the sense that things need to be done. I am not talking about Christmas, but I am referring to all of the jobs that present themselves to us when the snow starts to melt away. As the days get longer, the jobs multiply. Spring is on its way and there are many jobs to do.
It should be easy for us to get away from a winter wonderland of snow capped hills, icy roads and cold temperatures. The site of brown dead grass, dusty gray roads and pile after pile of our favorite pets' droppings all over the backyard, make this season difficult to get excited about.

My office receives a lot of calls from individuals concerned about their neighbor's yard and the amount of pet waste that has built up over the winter months. Many of us refer to our yards as mine fields at this time of year.
As pet owners, we all must take advantage of the nice temperatures and get out in our yards to make an attempt to clean these little land mines up. It is not a fun thing to do, but it is a very necessary job since we all live so close together. We must all accept the responsibility for cleaning up these types of messes before they become a nuisance to our neighbors and a hazard to our shoes.
If you happen to have kids or know a neighborhood child that wants to make some extra money, this type of job gives them some real life experience with the extra work it takes to care for a pet.
I really appreciate those who have already thought of this problem and have put forth the effort to get out there and clean up the mess. The rest of us who have pets need to remember, 'Tis the season!
