Local prep boys honored

After an exciting year of boys basketball up and down the Hi-Line, a host of area players have been honored for their outstanding 2012-13 achievements.

Plain Bull was one of four District 9C players to earn Northern C Class C All-State honors this season, and he helped Box Elder to the 9C championship.

The District 9C recently released its 2012-13 All-Conference list, with 9C champion Box Elder and Class C state tournament team Big Sandy leading the way. The Bears and Pioneers combined for eight of the 12 all-conference spots. Chinook added three players to the list, while Hays-Lodge Pole had one.

Big Sandy players honored were, Trevor Lackner, Zac Leader, Jerry Hanson and Kaden Beck, while Box Elder got Randall Gardipee, Lonnie Plain Bull, Brandon The Boy and Clayton Morsette named. Chinook saw Grant Tilleman, Lane Seymour and Zach Molyneaux honored, while HLP's Jeff Sorrell rounds out the list. Lackner, Leader, Gardipee, Tilleman and Molyneaux were all repeat performers.

Box Elder's Randall Gardipee was named Northern C Class C All-State for 2012-13.

Box Elder's Jeremy MacDonald was named 9C Coach of the Year.

Three Chester/J-I players made the 2012-13 District 10C All-Conference team. Dell Harmon earned First-Team All-Conference for the Hawks, while Steven May and Jordan Oraw were named to the Second Team.

Lackner

As for Northern C All-State honors, Big Sandy's Lackner, Box Elder's Gardipee and Chinook's Tilleman were all named Class C All-State for the season. Lackner is a three-time Class C All-State selection.
