Martha Stocker, Havre High Track

The Havre High girls track team has plenty of top-notch athletes. And sometimes the throwers get overlooked.

But it was hard to overlook Blue Pony Martha Stocker at this weekend's Central A Divisional in Livingston. Stocker captured the divisional championship in the shot put with a toss of 34.02, and for good measure she finished fourth in the discus. Stocker's performance helped HHS to score 92.5 points and finish in third place. Stocker, who will compete at the state meet in Laurel, also plays volleyball for Havre.

Nick Rhines and J.J. Hovet, Havre High Tennis

The Havre High senior doubles team of Nick Rhines and J.J. Hovet couldn't have made a better final Central A Divisional. Not only did the duo punch their ticket to this week's Class A state tournament, but they finished second overall, losing only in the champonship match last Saturday in Great Falls.
