Is justice finally coming to Rocky Boy?

Editor:

I was appalled to hear that the scheduled Chippewa Cree tribal council Friday morning wasn't attended by the eight councilmen who, instead of trying to go through with the meeting, chose to run away from it. Instead, they sent the cops to deliver a impeachment or "suspension" notice, which by the way was illegal in itself being there is a six-month grace period for doing such things in the first place, not to mention Chairman St. Marks is protected by a whistleblowers program by talking to the inspectors general.

To me, and I know it has to look this way to outside people who are looking in, this is an act of guilt.

Why didn't the meeting go off as announced? What are they scared of? This new chairman is only asking for financial accountability, and had I got in council in the last election, they would be doing the same to me also.

Once again, what are they scared of? The angry people who packed the tribal headquarters? Or are they really running scared and blind because the inspector general is around? What does it look like by their actions?

These who are doing this, for one, don't even know the laws here and are elected to run this place.

They like to make their own laws but don't abide by the constitutional ones. Is justice finally here in Little Russia? I don't see it — only heard it was around.

I do know one fact though: We did see the ex-chairman convicted of fraud. He should try to get some honor back by speaking up and telling the truth about all that went on. He would have peace of mind with the Creator for sure and could sway a lot of people's opinion about him, mine included,"if" he told all the truths. … I think the good people of Havre and the surrounding communities would like to hear me on the radio again after being gone for five years.

I know some of you listened to the shows on all the corruption going on up here. I know you people want to hear more. I hope.

It took a long time for the inspector federal to come in here. I was screaming for them to come in since '99 when they fired the people's elected judges as reported in several newspapers. If justice is here, it sure been a long time in getting here.
