A stubborn 7 pin cost Kelly Olson his fourth sanctioned 300 game. Kelly was bowling for Creative Leisure on the Monday night Straightaway Mixed League and left a 7 pin on his final ball. The pin rocked and swayed but would not topple. He finished the night with a 908 for 4 games. Nice bowling Kelly.
As the leagues are finishing up this will be the final article until the fall leagues begin in September. No, we do not have the summer off. Hi Line Lanes has purchased 12 new 32" TV's to replace the ones from Lanes 3-14, also we will be replacing the monitors in the pedestals, and recoating the lanes, maintenance on the pinsetters, plus Kids Bowl Free Program. Various class reunions and wedding receptions, so you see the summer is full time for us.
High average for women for the year is Julie Rodgers 193. High Average for the men are Ryan Mapes and Kelly Olson with a 221; and Shawn Mariani with a 220.
This season there were a record number of 200 averages, 16 to be exact. Congratulations to all who had honor scores throughout the year and to those who had near misses. If everyone would bring in a new bowler next fall leagues would improve immensely. Remember B.I.F. (Bowling is fun).
Have a great summer.
