Hartford Denny
Hartford Denny ("Rock That Walks With Him" "Home Boy"), 65, passed away at Northern Montana Hospital on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. Wake service began Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Rocky Boy Lutheran Church. His funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rocky Boy, Mont., with NAC members officiating. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Hartford was born on June 26, 1947, in Rocky Boy, Mont., to Bill and Hattie Denny. He attended school at Rocky Boy. Hartford attended sundances, sweats and liked going to rodeos and Native American church. He liked watching the Rocky Boy Stars basketball games. He was always willing to help out family. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Hartford was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Hattie Denny; brothers, James "Tuffy" Denny, Earl Denny, Daniel Denny and William Denny Jr. ; sister, Helen Louise Denny Capps; and grandson, Lageno O'Riley Rilis Denny.
He is survived by his son, Rico Denny of Rocky Boy; daughter, Rita (Chase Strike Sr.) Denny of Billings, Mont. ; brothers, Grant Denny of Pocatello, Idaho, Willy Denny of Rocky Boy, and Ken Writing Bird of Rocky Boy; sisters, Hope D. Rojas and Caroline Denny of Fort Hall, Idaho, Winona Denny of Anchorage, Alaska, and Ruby Stump and Nadine Morsette of Rocky Boy; grandchildren, Garet O. Denny of Tuscan, Ariz., D Anna Denny of Rocky Boy; Kaiden I. Denny of Mich., Maria M. Cantwell of Billings, and Chase and Mia Strike of Billings.
