9C Update: Box Elder girls, Chinook boys stay alive

Friday is win-or-go-home day at the District 9C tournament in Havre, and with the afternoon session complete, the Box Elder girls and Chinook boys aren't going home yet. Box Elder defeated Turner 60-38 behind 15 points from Rebecca Rossette. Turner got 18 points by Laura Dillon what was the Tornadoes final game of the season. The Bears will play in Saturday's consolation game at 12 p.m.

Chinook played in the afternoon for the third straight day on the boys side, and Friday, easily took care of North Star, 65-35. Grant Tilleman scored 16 points for the Beeters, who will play in Saturday's consolation game at 1:30 p.m. North Star's season ended with Cooper Spicher scoring nine points.
