Delores Kline Phillipp

Delores Kline Phillipp, 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at her home in Havre. Her Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with Father Daniel Wathen officiating. A fellowship luncheon will be held at St. Jude Parish Center immediately after the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Delores' honor may be made to the Havre-Hill County Library or to the Havre Senior Center. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Delores was born March 31, 1929, in Ulen, Minn., to Herman and Mary (Leonhardt) Kline. She grew up in Ulen and when she was 7 moved to Moorhead, Minn., where she graduated from Moorhead High School in 1947. After high school she traveled to San Francisco with her friend. She married Alfred Phillipp on Feb. 10, 1948, in Moorhead. Together they lived in Moorhead where Delores worked as a secretary at the gas company. In 1967 they transferred with the railroad to Havre. In Havre, Delores worked for the Havre Federal Savings and Loan. They were transferred to Glendive for eight years and then on to Mandan, N.D. Alfred passed away in 1983, and Delores returned to Havre and worked at Marguerite's.

Delores was very active in her community. She was a member of BETA, Catholic Daughters, Sons of Norway, Welcome Wagon, The Pageant Committee in Glendive, and she volunteered at the hospital in Havre, worked the Christmas Bazaar at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church for many years and was a member of the Eagles, Elks and the Moose Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred Phillipp in 1983; her sisters, Pearl Lathrop, Violet "Duke" Oien and Mildred "Millie" Hogfoss; brothers, Edward "Jim" Kline and Orvis "Buster" Kline.

Delores is survived by her daughters and their families, Kathleen (John) Schlattman of Tucson, Ariz., and their children, Jennifer (Donald) Pudas, Brett Phillipp Sauer and Ryan John Schlattman, Connie (Frank) Peterson of Havre, and their children, Nicole (Brad) Cornelius and their children, Kyra and Kyle; Donna Peterson (Phil Linquist) and their son, Quincy and Karen (Jeremy) Fisicaro and their daughter Autumn, Corrine (Doug) Fietsch of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and their daughter Kellie. She is also survived by her twin sister, Darline Brugma of Seal Beach, Calif., sisters-in-law, Lydia Kline of Moorhead, Minn., and Patricia Phillipp of Fargo, N.D. Also surviving as lifelong friends, Lavonne Muchow, Bev Primm, Bob and Shirley Bachini and Sonja Blawatsky and Margaret Bielke. And a very special friend, Mel Berger of Murphys Boro, Ill.
