Joyce Elaine Roberts
After a long illness, Joyce Elaine Roberts passed away Feb. 8, 2013, from heart and lung complications. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel, with burial immediately following in Highland Cemetery.
A luncheon will follow the graveside services at the Havre Eagles Club. The family has requested that memorials be made in Joyce's name to a charity of the donor's choice. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
Joyce was born to Lawrence and Alice Buethe on Nov. 15, 1941, in Scobey, Mont., and was raised in Anaconda. Joyce married and divorced at a young age, before meeting the love of her life, John R. Roberts, in 1964. They were later married in Cour d' Alene, Idaho, and their union was blessed with 10 children. Over the years, Joyce worked at Havre Laundry, as a Havre Daily News carrier, as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service, as a bookkeeper, and as a loving homemaker and mother. The loving couple also had a country-western band named Montana Wrangler.
Joyce loved bird watching, hunting, sightseeing, playing all sorts of games (mostly card games), singing and spending time with family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Alice Buethe; her infant daughter, Jeanette Hardy; her son, Larry Hardy; and her granddaughter, Rebecca Gallagher.
She is survived by her Husband, John, and daughters, Faith Reid of Tacoma, Wash., Peggy Gallagher of Havre, Colleen Clements of Havre (David Clements of California), Rose (Greg) Klemkosky of Crestview, Fla., and Cindy (Randy) Stidham of Havre; her sons, Winston Roy Hardy of Bellingham, Wash., Arnold Dell Hardy of Geno, Colo., and John R. (Teresa) Roberts, Jr. of Havre; her 18 wonderful grandchildren; her 20 beautiful great-grandchildren; and her sister, Donna (Charles) Grice of Mo.
