Curtis Keith Azure, 56, of Havre passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013, at Northern Montana Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Visitation will be held from 1 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Pastor Steve Haag officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

The family has requested that memorials be made in Curt's name to the Spirit of Freedom Ministries, PO Box 6648, Metairie, LA 70009-6648.

Curt was born on Feb. 5, 1957, to Albert and Louise Azure in Havre. Curt lived most of his life in Havre. He attended and graduated from Conquerors Bible College in Portland, Ore., in 1981. He made many lifelong friends at CBC, two of whom he was still in touch with, Danny Brake of Ohio and Jeff Herbig of Wyoming.

He lived in California from 1984 to 1988 and 1991 to 1996. While in California, he met and married Paula Eldridge on Feb. 4, 1988. To this union, a miracle baby was born, Sean Daniel Azure. Curt and Paula divorced in 1997. He was a route driver and pest control tech. He was involved in the ministry as an assistant pastor, working in the jail ministry, teaching Bible studies as well as pastoring churches in Montana and California. He loved to read the Bible as well as inspirational books. On March 9, 2002, he married Jayne Sveen. He retired in 2010 due to his cancer.

Curt enjoyed word search puzzles, reading, going for drives and spending time with his family and his grandsons Ayden and Jace. He will be missed greatly by all, but especially by his children and his grandsons, who were the apples of his eye.

Curt was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Louise Azure; his brothers, Jerry, Ronnie and Lester Azure; and his sisters, Delores and Georgianna Azure.

He is survived by the love of his life, Jayne Azure of Havre; his son, Sean Azure of Tehachapi, Calif .; his daughter, Crystal Roberts of Rosamond, Calif .; his grandsons, Ayden Blevins of Billings and Jace Azure of Tehachapi, Calif .; his brothers, Mickey and Lonnie Azure of Havre, and Alan (Kay) Azure of Rocky Boy; his sisters, June and Linda Azure of Havre; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
