Reuben C. 'Don' Kuntz

Reuben C. "Don" Kuntz, 89, a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, manager of Eaves Equipment in Havre for 25 years, owner/manager of Marias Equipment in Chester for 17 years, and then retired to Lakeside in the Flathead Valley in 1990, died of natural causes on Saturday, April 6, at Montana State Veterans Home in Columbia Falls.

His funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chester. Burial with military rites will follow at Chester Cemetery. A reception will be held at the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be at Rockman Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 11. Memorials may be given to the Montana Vets Memorial Flag Fund, 504 7th Ave. S., Shelby, MT 59474, or to a charity of donor's choice.

Don is survived by five children, Ronald (Darlene) Kuntz of Forney, Texas, Robert (Sherry) Kuntz of Kingman, Ariz., Dennis (Darla) Kuntz of Havre, Dale (Robin) Kuntz of Keller, Texas, and Janet (Adrian) Hawks of Chester; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three siblings. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty Jo Phillips, in 2005, and 10 siblings.
