Our beloved father, grandfather and friend Norman Everett Andrew passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at his home in Havre of natural causes. His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Bruington officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship will be held at the church immediately after the services at the graveside. Memorial contributions in Norman's honor may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Shriners' Hospital for Children or to the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Norman was born April 17, 1926, in Pompeii, Mich., to Joseph and Ethel (Dancer) Andrew. He attended schools in Michigan and was drafted into the United States Army in 1944, serving during World War II. He was honorably discharged in October 1945 and received a purple heart for his war injury. After his discharge, Norman returned to Michigan and decided to go out to Montana to visit his mother. While here he fell in love with Montana and with Doral, whom he met at J.C. Penny's in Havre. He moved to Montana and began work on the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1949. He married Doral Knudson on May 1, 1949, in Havre at the First Presbyterian Church. Together the couple made their home and raised two daughters, Linda and Valerie. Doral and Norman had 32 wonderful years together before she passed in 1981.

He later was blessed to meet Genevieve Haugen and together they had a loving 30-year relationship and made a home together.

Norman enjoyed traveling, camping, history and reading. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 55 and the Shrine in Havre and also a member of the V.F.W. and the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Herman, Dutch, Jack and Bob; and his beloved wife of 32 years, Doral Knudson Andrew.

Norman is survived by his daughters, Linda Green of Fountain, Colo., Valerie (Dave) Wolf of Havre, and his precious special companion, Geni Haugen of Havre; grandchildren, Russell (Denise) Wolf of Helena, Mont., Andria (Robert) Terry of Fountain, Colo., Norman (Jeanne) Green of Hopland, Calif.. and Robert "Bobby" (Heather) Wolf of Havre; great-grandchildren, Elise, Regan, Brady, Bryant and Loren Wolf, Grace and Jack Terry and Ariel Allen and extended family.
