Lights Football Camp
Montana State University-Northern football coaching staff is putti9ng on a day came for grades K-8. The camp will run from June 3-5 with grades K-4 going from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and grades K-5 going from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $60 per camper and they can register at 8 a.m. June 3 at the Armory Gymnasium lobby, or by going to http://www.msun.edu/athletics.
Lights Basketball Camps
Northern head coach Shawn Huse is offering three youth basketball camps this summer. Lights Basketball Camps are open to all interested boys going into grades K thru 12. They all take place at the recently renovated MSU-Northern Armory Gymnasium. Print, fill out, and send in a brochure to sign up. All basic offensive, defensive skills, fundamentals, techniques, drills, games, contests and fun are emphasized. Also, all campers receive daily prizes as well as grade K-8 campers receive a t-shirt, a respective age-group-Skillcoach indoor/outdoor basketball, and grades 9-12 campers receive a t-shirt, and Lights Basketball gear shoulder-bag. The grade 9-12 camp will run June 13-15. The grade 6-8 camp will run June 16-19 and the grade K-5 camp will run June 19-22.
Skylights Basketball Camps
The Montana State University-Northern women's basketball program will be hosting three girls basketball camps this summer. All three will be held at the MSU-N Armory Gym. Printable brochures are available at the MSUN athletic office and are also available for print on the MSU-Northern women's basketball website at http://www.msun.edu. Various family and group rates are available for all camps. Anyone with questions regarding camps can call Chris Mouat at 265-3584 or Liz Lewis at 265-3779. The Skylight Youth Camp will be held June 3-6. Camp is divided into two sessions daily. Campers entering grades K-3 will meet from 8:00-10:00 a.m. daily, while campers entering grades 4-6 will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily. The cost of the camp is $60. The Skylight Middle School Camp is scheduled for June 24-27. The camp is open to girls entering grades 6-8. The 4th Annual Northern Select Camp will take place June 30-July 2. The camp is open to individuals and teams with a strong emphasis on team and individual competition. Individual skill development sessions in guard and post play will also take place. Campers will participate in a wide variety of competitions with prizes awarded to winners. All players will participate in a minimum of five league games (5 on 5), including a single-elimination tournament on the camp's final day. The cost of the camp is $185 per person (which includes dorm stay and all meals.
Havre Bear Paw
Wrestling Camp
Havre High head coach Scott Filius will be hosting the annual Havre Bear Paw Wrestling Camp July 9-12 at Camp Kiwanis in Beaver Creek Park. The camp is open to all wrestlers ages 10-18. Registration is $195 per camper. It includes lodging, meals, t-shirt, 14 hours of clinical instruction and four hours of live matches. Clinicians include Filius, former MSU-Northern All-American Chad Edgar, Great Falls High head coach Steve Komac, CMR head coach and former MSU-N AA Aaron Jensen, MSU-N head coach and 2002 national champion Tyson Thivierge, HHS assistant Beau LaSalle, former MSU-N national champion Evan Hinebauch, and former Havre High state champions Kent Pattison and Duell Stadel. Skylight Volleyball Camps
MSU-Northern volleyball coach Bill Huebsch will be hosting three volleyball camps this summer. Team camp will be held July 19-20 at a cost of $300 per team, and is open to all high school teams. Kids Camp will be held July 22-24 from 9 a.m.-1p.m. each day at a cost of $60 per camper. The camp is open to grades 5-8. High School Camp will be held July 29-Aug.1 and is open to grades 9-12 at a cost of $125 for day campers without meals, $175 for day campers with meals and $200 for dorm and all meals. Blue Pony Volleyball Camp
Havre High head volleyball coach Melanie Skoyen will be hosting a volleyball camp June 26-28 at the Havre High gymnasium. The camp will begin with grades 6-8 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. each day, and grades 9-12 from 1 p.m.-5p.m. each day. Cost is $35 per camper. To register, or for more information, contact Skoyen at 390-4350.
Havre Tennis Camp
Havre High tennis coach George Ferguson will be hosting the annual Havre Tennis Camp, which will run Aug. 5-5 at the Bill Vaughey Memorial Tennis Courts. Camp will begin at 12:30 p.m. and run to 3 p.m. each day. Camp is open boys and girls entering grades 3-12 and will feature everything from beginner basics to advanced play, as well as games and prizes. Cost for the camp is $10. Havre High boys basketball coach Curt Leeds will be hosting a basketball camp June 3-7 for grades 8-12. Cost is $60 and $40 for each sibling. There will also be a camp for grades 3-7 running June 3-6 at a cost of $40 per camper. Registration forms are available at Havre High School.
Lights Wrestling Camp
MSU-Northern head coach Tyson Thivierge will be hosting a summer wrestling camp June 16-20 at MSU-N. The camp is open to wrestlers ages 8-18. Cost is $135 for a commuter with no meals, $185 for a commuter with meals and $235 for camper in dorms. Camp staff includes Thivierge, MSU-N assistant and 2X All-American Dustyn Azure, MSU-N assistant Austin Ouelette, assistant and All-American Anthony Weerheim, HHS head coach Scott Filius and former NAIA national champion Evan Hinebauch.
