Anthony Paul Kaluza
January 25, 1932 – December 25, 2012
Anthony Paul Kaluza, 80, of Havre, MT, passed away on Tuesday, December 25th in Billings, MT. Tony was born to Jacob Peter and Gianna Rose (Peressini) Kaluza in Havre on January 25th, 1932.
Tony attended St. Jude Elementary School and graduated from Havre High School in 1950. He then attended Northern Montana College. He worked as a brakeman and conductor for more than forty years for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern railroads.
Tony was an active member of the Montana National Guard for 13 years, a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, and
active in the American Legion. He was a enthusiast of the Northern Lights men & women.
He is survived by his four children, Marti Christie, Laurie Bills, Ferndale, WA, Vince Kaluza, Havre, and Steve Kaluza, Colstrip, Mt. Also left to mourn his passing are brothers Archie (Kathleen) and Phil Kaluza as well as sisters Mary Jane (Chuck) Funk and Eleanor (Ron) Swenson. He had many nephews & nieces whom he treasured.
He was the person in our family that we could always count on. We will miss him very much for his advice, caring & humor.
The rosary will be Friday January 4th, at 5:00 p. m. at St. Jude's catholic church. The funeral mass will be Saturday January 5th, at St. Judes catholic church at 1:00 p. m. internment will be at Calvary Cemetery with lunch to follow.
