William F. 'Bill' Cole
William "Bill" F. Cole, age 86, a retired farmer, passed away March 31, 2013, at the Peace Hospice in Great Falls from natural causes.
Bill was born on April 8, 1926, in Havre to Edward and Margaret Cole. He received his education at the Graumman School near Chester and graduated in Green Bay, Wis.
A vigil service will be held 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, with a luncheon to follow, also at St. Mary's. Burial will take place at the Chester Cemetery following the Mass. Memorials may be given to the Knights of Columbus or to the Sweetgrass Lodge in Chester. Arrange-ments are by the Rockman Funeral Chapel in Chester.
Bill served as an MP in the U.S. Army and enjoyed square dancing, bowling, camping, traveling and fishing. He was a skilled woodworker, private pilot and leather tooler.
Surviving Bill are his wife, Agnes; a son, Pete Cole; two daughters, Mary Fritz and Colleen Boucher; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary and Rosemary Caveat; and a son, Timothy.
