Taylor Riphenburg, Havre Boys Swimming

The Havre High boys swim team is off to a quick start this season, and Taylor Riphenburg is swimming fast on his own. Over Havre's first three meets of the season, Riphenburg has placed in several events, including the 100-meter freestyle at last month's Havre Invitational. In that race Rophenburg finished in second with a time of 1:05.92. Riphenburg swims several freestyle events for the Ponies, as well as the backstroke. He's also part of a couple of very strong HHS relay teams, and he was a big part of Havre's success last season as well.

Brandi Buffalo, Rocky Boy Girls Basketball

The Rocky Boy Morning Stars are playing very well so far this season, and a big reason why is senior forward Brandi Buffalo. Buffalo is averaging 17 points and six rebounds per game for the Morning Stars, and she came up big in Rocky Boy's last two games before the holiday break. In a win over Shelby last month, Buffalo poured in a season-high 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Playing in Box Elder before moving to Rocky Boy, Buffalo twice earned District 9C All-Conference honors.
