Jennie L. Wingard Meddings

Jennie L. Meddings, 78, of Havre, died peacefully in the Benefis Extended Care Facility in Great Falls, Mont., on Monday, May 15, 2012. She died courageously, battling cancer for several months. Cremation has taken place, and her memorial service will be held at Fifth Avenue Christian Church on June 4, 2012, at 10:30 a. m.

A fellowship luncheon will follow at the church. Private family graveside services are planned at Highland Cemetery where Jennie will be buried next to her son Thomas Meddings Jr. Memorial contributions in Jennie's honor may be made to Fifth Avenue Christian Church.

Jennie was born July 23, 1933. She married Thomas D. Medding on June 6, 1954, and together they raised four boys.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Anna Wingard; her brother, Rodger Wingard; her sister, Fay Bengston; and her son, Thomas Medding Jr.

Jennie is survived by her husband, Thomas D. Meddings of Havre; her three sons, Gregory (Laurie) Meddings of Manhattan, Mont., Robert (Sheila) Meddings of Leads, S.D., and David (Linda) Meddings of Leads, South Dakota.
