Havre girls fastpitch titles up for grabs

The Havre Girls Faspitch Association is set to crown A-League and B-League champions, possibly as early as tonight at the Sixth Avenue Memorial Field in Havre.

Wagner was eliminated by Master Sports Wednesday night. The A-League tournament championship game is set for tonight at 8:30 p.m.

The B-League championship game is set for 7 p.m. tonight with No. 4 seed NorthWestern Energy awaiting the winner of Barkus Home Center or Chinook. Northwestern Engery is undefeated in the tournament, which began Monday night, and would have to be beat twice to lose the B-League crown. A second championship game is slated for Friday at 5:30 p.m. if needed.

In the A-League tournament, J.M. Donovan will play Master Sports for the champinship tonight at 8:30 p.m. Master Sports is the No. 1 seed, but Donovan is unbeaten in the tournament and would have to lose twice to lose the title. If Master Sports wins tonight, the championship will be decided on Friday at 7 p.m.

B-League: NW Energy def. Schine Electric 18-7; Barkus def. Chinook 10-9; Chinook def. Schine Electric 8-7; NW Energy def. Lions 23-0; NW Energy def. Barkus 10-5; Chinook def. Lions 11-10.

A-League: JM Donovan def. Wagner Plumbin 7-0; JM Donovan def. Master Sports 9-3; Master Sports def. Wagner Plumbing 4-1.
