News you can use

After several hours of thinking about how I would begin this letter I decided to start by saying, "Where Oh Where did the Montana Department. of Fish, Wildlife and Parks learn how to budget funds?"
In a recent — very small — article in the Havre Daily News (Monday, page 3) it was stated that the department would harvest 200 excess urban deer in Helena and have the meat processed for the Helena Food Share, but "the agency is still determining if it can pay for the processing this year."
What a shock. The Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks can find millions of dollars to pay for land at inflated prices but cannot find the funds to pay for feeding the hungry of Montana?
Perhaps it is time for legislation that would help FWP manage the funds given to them by the taxpayers of Montana so they could have the amount of money it will cost to process 200 deer.
What a farce. Montana FWP deserves a dart!
