Albert "Al" Seely, 84, of Havre, Mont., passed away on Feb. 26, 2012, at the Care and Comfort Home in Havre, of natural causes.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, at 2 p. m., at the Highland Cemetery with Pastor John Chapman officiating.

A reception will be held at the Eagles Club following the graveside service. Memorials in Albert's honor can be made to the Montana Chapter of the Heart Association, 510 1st Ave. N. Room 114, Great Falls, MT 59401 or to the charity of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Albert was born Aug. 3, 1927, to Guy and Eleanor (Johnson) Seely in Hinsdale, Mont. He attended school in Hinsdale. He joined the Navy in 1945, and served in World War 2. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He then re-enlisted in the Navy in 1948 and was honorably discharged in 1950.

Albert married Marian L. Ellis on Jan. 27, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Hinsdale. Albert was a truck driver for United Transfer the Great Northern Railway and the Burlington Northern Railway. He was also a bar owner for some years during this time. He retired in 1982. Albert was known for being a great socializer and collector. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Eleanor Seely; his brother, Charles Seely; and his son, Mark Seely.

Albert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marian Seely of Havre; his sons, Larry (Fransetta) Seely and Bert (Leslie) Seely of Havre, and Byron (Mary) Seely of Spokane, Wash. ; and daughter-in-law, Valory Seely of Billings, Mont. ; two granddaughters; six grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
