It would be hard to find a team playing better volleyball than the Montana State University-Northern Skylights are right now. And in dominating fashion, the Skylights closed out their home schedule with a three-game sweep of Westminster College Saturday afternoon at the Armory Gymnasium.
Northern beat the Griffins by scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-12 and the Skylights never trailed at any point in the match. MSU-N had 44 kills to the Griffins' 16, and the Skylights served up eight aces. Kelsey Williams led the offense with 11 kills and four aces, while seniors Hillary Isleifson and Victoria Polo added 10 and eight kills, respectively. Joni Nagy had 30 assists and four aces, while Haley Russel added two blocks.
The Skylights are now 9-5 in the Frontier Conference and remain tied with UGF and Carroll for second place. MSU-N is 15-13 overall and will finish the regular season Thursday at Rocky Mountain College and Saturday at Dickinson State.
