Richard Joseph Rienhart Sr.
Richard Joseph Rienhart Sr., 67, died of natural causes at his home in Havre on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. His graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 10:30 a. m. with Father Daniel Wathen officiating. A fellowship luncheon will be held at St. Jude Parish Center immediately after the graveside service. Memorial contributions in Richard's honor may be made to The Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line or to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
Richard was born Dec. 30, 1944, in Havre, Mont., to William and Ruth ( Olson) Rienhart. He and Sande Schwan were married on April 30, 1966. Together they operated RJR Masonry and Havre Masonry. Rich enjoyed his family, golfing, playing his guitar and singing. A special love was his dog Quincy.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Ruth Rienhart; his parents-in-law, Leona and Anton Schwan; and his brothers-in-law, Andy Schwan and Terry Schwan.
Richard is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sande Rienhart of Havre; his daughter, Lantha Rienhart of Phoenix, Ariz. ; his son, Rich (Nicole) Rienhart of Missoula; his five grandchildren, Raela and Zander Rienhart of Missoula, twins Dylan and Logan Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Channa Walz of Phoenix; his one great-granddaughter, Evangeline Jayger Walz of Phoenix; his brothers, William Main of Reno, Nev., Henry (Dianna) Rienhart of Bozeman, and Ralph (Ruth) Rienhart of Billings; his sisters, Dorothy Lieberg of Havre, Linda (Butch) Denning of Kalispell, Karen (Bobby) Yeoman of Havre, Ida (Gary) Beckman of Sparks, Nev., and Connie (Joe) Messerly of Seattle, Wash. ; his brothers-in-law, Dusty (Patti) Schwan of Havre, Harlan (Judy) Schwan of Kalispell, Randy Schwan of Kalispell and Jamie Schwan of Enumclaw, Wash. ; his sisters-in-law, Marcy Stallcup of Columbia Falls and Trudy (Tom) Gallery of Hungry Horse; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
