Georgia Maroudas
Georgia Antonia Maroudas, 86, died at Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes, on Jan. 24, 2012.
Her funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at 11 a. m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with Father Russell officiating.
Burial will be at Highland Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at St. Jude Parish Center. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
Georgia was born on Feb. 15, 1925, to Antonios and Athena Maria (Kollias) Golomati in Thezvi Thevon, Greece. She attended grade school in Greece. In 1953 her sister brought her to live in Havre. She met her future husband, Nicholas Maroudas, through relatives in 1957. They were married in Minneapolis, Minn. on Aug. 24, 1958. The couple lived in Havre, where Mr. Maroudas' brother-in-law got him a job with the railroad.
Georgia took great pride in being a housewife and taking care of people. She also worked at the Sacred Heart Hospital in day care and Nalivka's Pizza Kitchern for about 40 years.
She enjoyed singing and dancing, crocheting and the out-of-doors. She loved to take her flowers and garden tomatoes to the fair.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; her parents; three sisters; and five brothers.
She is survived by her son Tony Maroudas of Vancouver, Wash. ; and his children Nickolaos of Japan, Christopher of Oregon and Racheal of Vancouver, Wash. ; her daughter Maria (Mike) Spinler and their children Chad, Nicole and Michael, Daughter Peggy (Kevin) Fialkosky and their children Tara, Mandy, Desmond, and Niko, and daughter Jan Siderakis and her son Antonios all of Havre, Mont. ; her sister, Barbara Krussukopoulas of Athens Greece; and great-grandchildren, Tray and Mackenzie Williams of Havre, Mont.
