Arnold L. "Arnie" Robbins, 82, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

The family would like to invite you to an open house memorial for Arnie, from 2 to 4 p. m., Saturday, at Parkview Apartment Reception Hall. If you would please park in the back of Parkview at 820 4th St., and use the rear door with the ramp. Memorials in Arnold's honor may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Arnold was born February 12, 1930, in Opheim, Mont., to Merritt and Nellie (Crane) Robbins. He attended and graduated from the Glasgow School District. In Glasgow, Arnold worked for Buttrey's for eight years and Town and Country for 18 ½ years. In 1974, Arnold moved to Havre where he worked for Valley Furniture for 18 years before retiring. He was a carpet installer by trade and was in high demand for his service. Arnold enlisted in the United States Army in 1949 and was honorably discharged. He served four years in the Army Reserves after his enlistment. On Nov. 26, 1952, he married Mavis Keough and together they raised six children.

Arnold was very dedicated to the Churches of Christ throughout Montana. His hobbies included camping, fishing, hunting and visiting with his friends at coffee hour.

He was preceded in death by his father, Merritt Robbins; mother, Nellie (Crane) Robbins; and brothers, Robert Robbins and Donald Robbins; sister Mary Hanson; and two infant sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis Robbins of Havre; children, Emmett (Debi) Robbins of Medford, Ore., Mavis (Craig) Luse of Cut Bank, Craig (Carol) Robbins of Glasgow, Victoria (John) Young of Goldendale, Wash., Linda (Ron) Bragg of Havre, and Merritt (Jamie) Robbins of Havre; sisters, Dorothy (Bob) Swagerty of Havre, Patsy (Bob) Horne of Havre, Betty Fuhrman of Spokane, Wash. ; brother, Eugene Robbins of Glasgow; numerous nieces and nephews; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
