News you can use
On Monday, Nov. 26, sign-up sheets for New Year's Eve Jackpot will be at the desk. Bowlers wishing to participate in this annual fun night are asked to sign up early as there is usually a waiting list. Also, all spots must be paid in advance.
In the last week ,the communities of Havre and Fort Benton last two of its long time keglers, Larry Sapp in Havre and Bill Madsen in Fort Benton. We will miss both of them. Each contributed so much to the game in his own way. I knew Larry and his whole family for years. He was one of Havre's top bowlers for years. He was bowling which I first started at Hi Line Lanes. Many of you don't know Bill personally but if you did, he would be your friend forever. Bill lived and promoted bowling in Fort Benton for years. Both will be missed tremendously and our hearts and prayers go out to both families.
TOURNEY TRAIL: As of this writing there is only 3 spots left in the challenge for this weekend. Call the lanes for your spot 265-5885.
TIP OF THE WEEK: As I look around the lanes I see people using baby powder on their shoes and thumbs, which if we see it we forbid powder. If your thumb is to tight a minute in the Pro Shop of reaming it out will work. Also, a dab of chap-stick on both sides of your thumb is a remedy, or rub your thumb on the sides of your nose. Putting powder on the floor for your shoes is hazardous for you and other bowlers. Also it gets in the air and drifts all over. You may ask for EZ Slide at the desk.
