Breaking Sports: Four Lights earn Frontier All-Conference in football

Four Montana State University-Northern football players were named to the 2012 Frontier All-Conference team. The league announced the list on Wednesday night, and MSU-N's Brandon O'Brien, Derek Lear, Stephen Silva and Josh Baum were touted.

O'Brien, a junior wide receiver, was the only First-Team selection, while Lear and Silva were Second-Team picks. Silva earned All-Conference honors for the fourth straight year. The only Northern defender to make the list was sophomore safety Josh Baum, who earned Second-Team Defensive honors.

Southern Oregon's Austin Dodge was named Frontier Offensive Player of the Year, while Eastern Oregon linebacker Howard McDonald was named Defensive Player of the Year. Montana Tech's Chuck Morrell was named Coach of the Year.
