Local Bowling Report: Roman Surber inching closer to a 300 game

Roman Surber leads the way with his second 297 game of the season. Once again, he had a shot at the exclusive 300. Some bowlers never get a chance at even one in their lifetime, but two is a rarity, especially about a month apart as he just received his award for the first one being eleven-in-a-row plaque.

The question now becomes. when he will shoot the 300 that has slipped through his fingers twice. In this writer's opinion, I don't think it is too far away.

Once again Hi Line Lanes is offering bowlers a special from Dec. 26 through Jan. 5 where they may come in and bowl one game and bowl the second game free by bringing in a can of food for the Havre Food Bank. It only applies to open bowling and just one can of food per visit. The special does not apply to any other special. See posted rules.
