Local Bowling Report: Not too late to sign up for Youth Pepsi Challenge

There's one more week to qualify for the Pepsi Challenge. Next Sunday will be the last time youth bowlers may qualify for a chance to bowl for scholarships in the Pepsi Challenge later this spring. Any bowler wishing to do this, please notify us next Sunday the Jan. 22. Finals will be in Butte once again.

Having received a Havre Daily News dated Thursday Evening, Dec. 9, 1965 from Zonie Zygmond, a long time bowler in Havre, brings back a lot of memories. We will be putting them in the article from time to time starting with the W.I.B.C. Division E National Championship Team. Don's Medical Pharmacy in Portland, Ore. They had a score of 2,480. Members included Billie Sutor (512), Joan Lamey (452), Opal Jones (457), Lorna Wattam (571), and Zonie Sygmond (488). Quite an accomplishment.

U.S.B.C. Rule 109b "Lack of Legal Line-up. When one or both teams scheduled against each other fail to present a minimum legal lineup and a postponement was not requested, the games are forfeited unless an emergency existed. The postponement committee or board of directors shall decide whether an emergency existed and, if so, the match shall be rescheduled under the postponement rules. Decisions made by the postponement committee can be appealed to the league board of directors.
