The Bears posted 22 in the second, 20 in the third, and 13 in the fourth, while the Pioneers were held to just 22 combined in the second and third quarters, respectively. Big Sandy made a run late, but Jessey Bailey's team high 21-points wasn't enough to push for a win. Zac Leader also scored 18, while Trevor Lackner scored 14 for the Pioneers. The Bears were led by Lonnie Plain Bull's 22 points, while Randall Gardipee pitched in 19 of his own.

Gardipee finished with 17 and Clayton Morsette Jr. finished with 12. Dylan Surber led the Beeters with 14, and Schmitt finished with 13.

Back in 9C action, the Turner Tornadoes earned a win in their first game of the season, and already matched their win total from all of last season with a 51-47 win over Dodson on Friday.
Turner was paced by a Lucas Reed's 24 points and Dylan Welsch's 15, as the Tornadoes escaped a first quarter, 12-12 tie. Both teams scored 15 in the fourth quarter, but it was Turner's 24 points through the second and third frames that gave the Tornadoes the edge.
On Saturday, the 9C Pioneers got back on track with a win in Denton. The Pioneers beat the Trojans 56-48. Big Sandy improved to 2-2.
Defense was key in the win, as the Pioneers held Denton to just eight points in the third quarter. The Pioneers are back in action on Thursday when they host Roy-Winifred. Big Sandy will also face Turner on Friday.
The 10C Hawks found a way to win on Saturday, as they dominated the Simms Tigers 61-48 in Chester. The Hawks remain undefeated on the season.
Chester/J-I trailed by three-points early, but began gaining ground after the first quarter with at least 15-points in each of the final frames. Zach Bloom scored 18 on the Hawks, but Harmon nearly matched that for the Hawks with 15 points of his own. Cody Ramberg also scored 12 for C/J-I.
