Sevrie E. Olson

Sevrie "Sis Green" E. Olson, 103, passed away on April 13, 2012, at the Big Sandy Medical Center due to natural causes. Per her request, no services are planned. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Sevrie was born April 12, 1909, in the Bear Paw Mountains on the Albert Williamson Ranch to Albert and Lena (Olson) Williamson. She attended school at a country school and high school in Big Sandy. Sevrie married John Lawrence Green in May 1926 in Fort Benton. She and Lawrence had two sons, Lawrence and Harry. She and John John Lawrence operated a bar business. John passed away in 1939. Sevrie worked in the restaurant business and as a ranch cook and worked various jobs in the Havre area.

In 1957 Sevrie married Oscar Olson.

Sevrie moved to the Big Sandy Medical Center Nursing Home in 2003 and has lived there ever since. She enjoyed a lifetime of many friends.

Sevrie was preceded in death by her husband, John Lawrence Green; son, Harry Green; brothers, Gordon Williamson, Herbert Williamson and Ed Williamson; and granddaughter, Shannon Green.

She is survived by her son, Lawrence (Connie) Green of Big Sandy; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
