Ellen M. (Keeling) Sapp
Ellen M. (Keeling) Sapp, 83, of Great Falls, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her home, due to natural causes.
A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 10 a. m., with Pastor Tamara Bull officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Havre. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Ellen was born and raised in Havre. After she graduated from high school, she moved to Washington to attend telegraph school. She later worked for a Chevrolet Dealer in Cle Elum in the business office.
Ellen married Edwin A. Sapp of Great Falls on Sept. 8, 2001, and celebrated 10 years of marriage last fall.
Ellen was an animal lover. Cats and dogs and horses are in many of the pictures of Ellen as a child. She loved to fill the bird feeder every day and watch rabbits, squirrels and birds from the kitchen window. She loved to play cards and work crossword puzzles. She made the best fried chicken and chicken noodle soup.
Ellen leaves behind her husband, Edwin A. Sapp of Great Falls; her dear lifelong friend, Ruth Morse of Havre; nephews, Ed (Beth) Keeling of Havre and John Keeling of Ham Lake, Minn. Special people in Ellen's life were Arleen Rice, Sheila Juers, Elaine Morse, Barbara Peterson, and Edith Gerkey, all of Havre; and a grandson, Derik Sapp, of Great Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Keeling; and a brother, Gordon Keeling.
