Local Bowling Report: New Year's Jackpot approaching

As New Years Eve is rapidly approaching, bowlers wanting to bowl in the Jackpot that evening are advised to get their spot early, as they are going fast.

Results of the turkey shoot last week with a donation going to the food bank are: Monday night, Mike Hamilton; Tuesday Women's, Kay Young; Wednesday Night Men's, Ryan Mapes; Thursday Morning, Lynette Harada; Thursday Mixers, Jason McDonald; Sunday Keglers, Bob Dorris. TOURNEY TRAIL: The P.B.A. got under way this last Sunday, it was the PBA World Series of Bowling with only the final three being televised, in both the men and women. The men's side saw Chris Barnes defeating Mike Fagan 258 to 238, then downing Mike Kovemini 244 to 228 to claim the world title. In the women's session, Liz Johnson by seven sticks 267 to 260 over Kelly Kulick; then was defeated by Missy Parkin 248 to 190 to claim her title. The tour resumes this Sunday at 11 a.m. on ESPN.
