Edna A. (Brekkestran) Stark, 85, a retired waitress of Great Falls, died on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, of natural causes at a local care facility.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Edna A. (Brekkestran) Stark was born Aug. 27, 1927, to Carl and Anne Brekkestran in Waite Park, Minn. She married Walter J. Stark in 1949 at Sauk Rapids, Minn. They were married for 59 years. Walter passed away in December 2008 in Great Falls, Mont. She worked for 30 years at the 4B's restaurant in Havre before retiring.

Edna enjoyed gardening, playing pinochle and other card games, and was an active member of the church. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Edna is survived by her son, Dewey, and his wife Bobbi Stark of Great Falls; and her daughter, Pamela Stark, and partner, Bob Good, of Seattle, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Stark; and her parents, Carl and Anne Brekkestran.
