Gail Marie Bradbury

Gail Marie Bradbury, 63, died at her home in Pleasant Valley, Winona, Minn., on Monday, May 7, 2012.

Gail was born Jan. 6, 1949, in Havre, Mont., to the late Alfred and Catherine Bradbury. She graduated from Havre High School and moved to Winona in 1970. She continued her education at Winona State University, earning her bachelor's and master's degrees. She was a certified public accountant.

Gail married Bernard Frisch in 1981 and had three children while focused on a career in accounting. Over the past years, Gail has devoted a great amount of time to volunteer work, including Project Fine, the Winona Dakota Homecoming and frequent volunteer ushering at concerts of all kinds. In addition, she was a community member playing clarinet in the Saint Mary's Concert Band.

Gail was a master gardener and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband. She was a lifelong reader and enjoyed hiking, boating on the river, a game of tennis or an afternoon with friends playing bridge.

Gail was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. She devoted a great amount of time to their education and ensuring they achieved a college education.

Gail is survived by her husband, Bernard Frisch; her daughter, Jennifer (Rich) Olson; two sons, Robert (Mark Flores) Frisch and Adam Frisch; her cherished grandson, Matthew Olson; her sisters, Dorothy Bradbury and Jane (David) Thompson; her brother, Bill (Cathie) Bradbury; and a large extended family in Minnesota and Montana.

A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p. m. with a short memorial service at 7 p. m. at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home in Winona.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will created in Gail's name for a program or scholarship focused on the fine arts.
