Seeking support for pregnancy center

Editor:

Hi-Line Pregnancy Resource Center is a faith-based pregnancy resource center that is located at 35 1st St. in Havre. Our hours of operation are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2 to 6 p.m. We can be reached at 265-3255.

Our staff is equipped to offer options counseling to anyone who is facing an unexpected pregnancy. All men and women facing unexpected pregnancies have a right to know all of their options. Our goal is to help them make an informed decision, and walk with them through the process, whatever the decision they make. We do not profit financially, no matter what they choose. We have a caring and confidential staff that can help people find real answers in a nonjudgmental environment. We presently have 17 girls who are signed up for our Earn While You Learn program. These women are either pregnant, new moms, or experienced moms who need help with supplies.

What we are hoping to offer in the future are parenting classes and sexual integrity classes. We desire to make a difference one life at a time and offer hope to those who are in need which will only better our community. The services we offer are free and confidential and include: pregnancy testing, options counseling, STD information and referrals, and our Earn While You Learn program.

Our EWYL program is for women and men who choose to parent their baby. They will be able to earn everything they need for free, including diapers, crib, car seat, formula, baby clothing, etc., by participating in our educational program.

If you would like to partner with us, the following is a list of ways to get involved in making a difference in your community: diapers, clothing, bedding, blankets, wipes, lotions/oils, new cribs, etc.

Our office needs are books to build our library, a paper shredder and a heavy duty paper cutter, medium-sized totes for storing off season baby clothes and blankets, etc. Be a volunteer at the center, financial donations, liaisons in our churches, schools and businesses, attend our fundraising events. We need you to help us help others.

We invite you to come, and see the center, and get a vision for what we are doing. This is a life-changing opportunity for both the clients we take in, and the volunteers who become passionate to help others. It has been said, "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can" — John Wesley.
