SIFE thanks local bars for recycling effort help

The Montana State University-Northern SIFE club would like to thank the following bars for helping with a glass recycling project; the Shanty, 15 West, Murphy's Pub and the Gallery.

The SIFE club is going to start recycling glass in Havre as a project to help out the community, and we would appreciate help from the community collecting the glass. Recycled glass has many uses.

Our SIFE club would like to take these uses and put the used glass to work in order to create a more sustainable community.

As part of a recycling feasibility study, the MSU-Northern SIFE Team requested that Havre bars collect their glass bottles for one weekend.

We're trying to determine if there is an adequate supply of glass to warrant recycling. Four establishments participated in this first test and several additional establishments indicated an interest in future tests.

We appreciate the extra effort that these folks expended on our behalf.
