Kathrine Rae Vickers

Kathrine Rae Vickers, 61, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at her home in Havre, Mont., due to COPD and congestive heart failure. Her funeral service will be 2 p. m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Cleve McSwain officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Havre. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Kathrine was born Nov. 14, 1950, in Breckenridge, Minn., to John (Jack) and Hazel (Worner) Vaughn. She was raised and educated in Breckenridge graduating from high school. She married Darvel Vickers, Sept. 4, 1967, in Williston, N.D. The couple moved to Havre and raised their family. Kathrine worked for the 5th Avenue Laundry for 20 years. She enjoyed playing cards, games and an occasional poker machine, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Darvel Vickers Jr. ; two sisters, Jackie Brendal and Gloria Wold; and one brother, John Vaughn Jr.

Kathrine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Darvel Vickers of Havre; daughters, Anna (Bob) Dion of Great Falls, Mont., Christine (Allan) Drew and Joni Keith, all of Havre; one son, Bradley (Anna) Vickers of Roundup, Mont. ; one sister, Penelope (Mark) Gylland of Ambercrombie, N.D. ; and two brothers, Doug (Mary Lou) Vaughn of Pelican Rapids, Minn., and Craig (Shari) Vaughn of Fergus Falls, Minn. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Aja, Amanda, Tianna, Ramsey, Robert, Alec, Thomas, Jordan, Kathrine (Katy), Emalee, Sophie, Lily and Logan.
